  Born in Belogorsk, Svetlana Klyuka is a Russian athlete who finished seventh at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka who has a personal best of 1:57.21 for the women's 800m. Her most impressive result to date is a silver medal at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg where she ran 1:57.48 to finish just behind Russian teammate and rival, Olga Kotlyarova. She also won the 2005 World University Games title in Izmir, Turkey, and although more than capable of competing against the world's best and running quality times for the 800m, Klyuka struggled in 2007 to produce them when required in the big international meetings.
